Where He Leads I Will Follow

During my prayer time this morning, I picked up my confession book “Confessions of the Righteous” by Pastor Ron Shaw. I was walking back and forth in my room confessing, decreeing, and declaring. Let me say this, if you don’t know and you are led by your spirit, you can know. At Light Church, we are taught that words have power, and our confessions (the things that come out of our mouth) need to align with the word of God. For this reason, we have the confessions book and the church gives them away liberally.

I gave you a little background to say this, I was not formally taught a lot about confession prior to hearing Pastor Ron’s teaching. But the Holy Spirit reminded this morning that I have done this for years. God is faithful to show you even if you don’t know. You are probably wondering “how”? God never ceases to amaze me.

Proverbs 16:9 says, “A man’s heart plans his way but the Lord directs his steps.”

Although, I was not formally taught regarding “confessions” the spirit of God led me to confess over my family. When my spirit reminded me I thought did I have foundational scriptures to support my confession; yes, I did. Every morning on the way to work I confessed over my family. My confession was typed out on a piece of typing paper. I had a sheet loose leaf paper in my car and a laminated version hanging in my office.

I will call on the Lord and he will answer and show me great and might things. Jeremiah 33:3

As a women thinks in her heart so is she.  Therefore, I will not mediate on negative thoughts or ideas, all my thoughts and ideas will be positive.  Proverbs 23:7

Keturah and I are fearfully and wonderfully made. Psalms 139:14

God has set aside a Christian friend and man that loves God, and is full of wisdom and maturity for my child will not be deceived by bad company.  I Corinthians 15:33

By the leading of the Holy Spirit,  I even knew the importance of speaking the word over my child. I believe that is a true testament to how faithful God is when we follow His leading. Now God was not finish when he lead me to confess over my family . He didn’t half equipment me. He led me to a place where I could learn the biblical truths behind the power of my confession and for that I am truly thankful!
